EMLA partners with stakeholders to develop laboratory policy, standards and technical assistance to strengthening medical laboratory practices in Ethiopia and beyond. EMLA partners include the Ethiopian Ministry of Health, FMHACA, EPHI, EMA, PEPFAR, CDC, WHO, USAIDS, PHSP, and International and regional professional societies; like IFCC and AFCC.




EMLA recognizes quality laboratory services as key to improving global health and reaching Millennium Development Goals in the world in general and in Ethiopian situation in particular.  Strengthening the breadth of laboratory services accessible to clients and ensuring that results are accurate, reliable, reproducible, and rapid enough to be useful, is crucial to improved health outcomes.EMLA and its partners sponsor training programmes and continuing medical education; these programmes promote laboratory strengthening, accreditation and training for the promotion quality medical laboratory practices to influence clinical outcomes.
